What We Will Not Do
We work on residential garage doors, torsion and extension springs, openers, tracks, panels, rollers, and cables. That's the job. We don't chase every make of commercial rolling steel door, and if your building has a door type we don't stock parts for, we'll say so on the phone instead of guessing at a fix that won't hold.
A lot of houses in this part of Seattle were built between 1962 and 2001, with the median landing around 1982. Some of that stock still runs original hardware, and once in a while a part just isn't made anymore. When that happens, replacing the door is the honest answer, not patching around a discontinued spring size.
We also won't promise a same-day fix before we've heard what's actually wrong. A cable off the drum is a different visit than a broken spring on a double door, and quoting blind over the phone helps nobody. If a job needs a part we don't have on the truck, we'll tell you what the wait looks like instead of making something up to get off the call.
After You Call

We're based at 425 Pike St, right in the middle of downtown, a few blocks from Pike Place Market and the edge of Belltown. That location puts most of the service area within a short drive, whether you're a mile out in Capitol Hill or further out toward the water.
Once we're at the house, we look at the actual hardware before quoting anything. Torsion springs, cables, rollers, and openers all wear differently depending on age and use, and a door built during the 1980s-90s boom that most of this region's housing stock comes from often needs different parts than something put up more recently. We'll tell you what's wrong, what it costs, and what your options are before touching anything.

Across that footprint there are roughly 251,878 households, with about 124,160 of them in owner-occupied houses, which is the housing type most garage door work actually happens on. If your address falls somewhere in that list, we cover it.
Do you cover my neighborhood if I'm not right downtown?
Likely yes. Our route runs from close-in areas like Capitol Hill and Magnolia out to places like Vashon, Silverdale, and Bainbridge Island, roughly five to sixteen miles from downtown. If your neighborhood isn't on that list, call and ask before assuming we're too far.
My house is older, will you have parts for the door?
Most of this area's housing was built between 1962 and 2001, with a lot of it dating to the 1980s and 90s. We stock parts that fit that era's common torsion and extension setups. Occasionally a part is genuinely discontinued, and in that case replacement usually makes more sense than a workaround.
Does cold weather cause garage door problems here?
Less than in colder regions. The climate here is mild with occasional freezes rather than hard winters, so we don't see the frozen-track or ice-jammed-door calls that are common elsewhere. Most issues we run into are wear on springs, cables, and rollers rather than weather damage.

It depends on where you are in the service area and what the job needs. We don't quote a fixed response window before hearing the problem, since a snapped spring and an opener issue aren't the same visit. Call and describe what's happening and we'll give you a realistic timeframe.
